Why use this coin flipper

True cryptographic randomness

Results come from your device’s Web Crypto API — the same grade of randomness used in security software — not a predictable pattern.

Animated 3D flip

A satisfying spinning coin animation makes every flip feel real, with the coin visibly landing on the winning side.

Best-of series mode

Run a best-of-3, 5, 7, or 9 shootout automatically and get a clear series winner — perfect for settling arguments.

Live heads/tails tally

Every flip feeds a running count with percentages and a visual split bar, so you can see the balance over time.

Flip history log

Your most recent flips are listed with timestamps, so you can scroll back through a long decision session.

Works offline and on mobile

Fully client-side and touch-friendly — flip on your phone, tablet, or desktop with no app to install.

Coin flip FAQs

Is this coin flip truly random?
Yes. Each result is drawn from your browser’s cryptographic random number generator (the Web Crypto API), which produces unpredictable values suitable for security use. It is far more random than the simple pseudo-random formulas behind most online flippers.
Can I use this to settle a bet or argument?
Absolutely — that is what it is for. For bigger decisions, use the best-of-3, 5, 7, or 9 mode so one lucky flip does not decide everything, and the tool declares the series winner for you.
What does “best of” mean?
In best-of-5 mode, the coin flips five times in a row. Whichever side lands more often wins the series. Because the number of rounds is odd, there is always a clear winner.
Why did the same side land several times in a row?
Randomness has no memory. Streaks are completely normal in a fair coin — getting heads three times in a row happens about 1 time in 8, and it does not make tails “due.”
Are my flips saved or shared anywhere?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser. Your tally and history exist only on this page during your visit and are never sent to a server.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. The flipper is fully responsive and touch-friendly, so it works the same on phones, tablets, and desktops.
