    How many words can I put in a word search?
    This generator accepts up to 15 words. Fewer words make an easier puzzle; 12 to 15 words fill a 15 by 15 grid nicely.
    What is the best grid size for kids?
    Start with 10 by 10 on Easy difficulty. Words run only across and down, forward only, so young solvers can find them without hunting diagonals or backwards words.
    Can words run diagonally or backwards?
    Yes. Medium difficulty adds diagonal words, and Hard adds reversed words in every direction — across, down, and diagonal, forwards and backwards.
    Why was my word rejected?
    Words must contain letters only, be 2 to 15 letters long, not repeat another word, and fit inside the grid you picked. A 12-letter word cannot fit a 10 by 10 grid — pick a bigger grid or shorten the word.
    How do I print the puzzle?
    Press Print Puzzle. Your browser print view shows only the grid and the word list, so the paper copy stays clean. Print a second copy with the solution shown if you want an answer key.
    Are the puzzles different each time?
    Yes. Word placement and filler letters are randomized, so pressing New Puzzle with the same words produces a different grid every time.
    Can I use this for a classroom worksheet?
