Is the wheel spin really fair and random?
Yes. The winner is picked with your browser’s cryptographically strong random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues), and every name has exactly equal odds on every spin. The spinning animation is purely cosmetic — the result is decided first, then the wheel lands on the winning slice.
How many names can I put on the wheel?
Up to 200 names. That covers classrooms, teams, and most raffle lists. If you paste more than 200 lines, the extras are trimmed and you will see a note about it.
Can I use this as a random student picker in class?
Absolutely — that is one of the most popular uses. Paste your class roster, project it on screen, and spin. Turn on eliminate mode so each student is picked once before anyone is called on again.
What does “eliminate winner after each spin” do?
When it is on, the winner is removed from the name list and the wheel is redrawn without them, so every future spin picks someone new. When the last name is drawn, you see the full winners list in draw order, and the Reset button puts everyone back on the wheel.
