How the reversal works: your video is genuinely played back-to-front — the tool steps through every frame from the last to the first and re-encodes them in that order. It is not a playback trick: the downloaded file itself runs backwards. Your original file is never modified.

Why reverse videos here

True frame-by-frame reversal

The exported file itself plays backwards — last frame first — not a player trick that breaks on upload.

Three audio modes

Original audio, genuinely reversed audio decoded in your browser, or fully muted. Your call per video.

No watermark, ever

The reversed download is clean — no logo bug, no end card, nothing burned into your content.

Private by design

No uploads and no queues. Even unreleased footage stays on your device the whole time.

Tunable smoothness

Choose 30, 24, or 15 fps output to trade silky motion against faster processing on longer clips.

Phone-friendly

Works in mobile browsers, so you can reverse a clip right after filming it.

Reverse video FAQs

What format will my reversed video be?
The export format depends on your browser’s built-in recorder — the exact format is shown above the Reverse button before you start. On Chrome and Edge that is usually WebM (VP9 video with Opus audio); some browsers can export MP4. Either way it plays in all modern browsers and most editors and social apps.
Is this a real reversal or just reversed playback?
Real. The tool walks through your video from the last frame to the first and re-encodes them in reverse order, so the downloaded file genuinely plays backwards everywhere — in any player, editor, or social app.
How does the reversed-audio option work?
Your video’s audio is decoded inside your browser and its samples are flipped end-to-start, giving the classic backwards-sound rewind effect. If a format’s audio cannot be decoded, the tool falls back to the original audio and tells you.
Is there a watermark?
No. The reversed file is completely clean — no logo, no end card, no branding of any kind.
Are my videos uploaded anywhere?
Never. Decoding, frame reversal, and re-encoding all run locally in your browser tab. Your video is never sent to any server.
Why does reversing take as long as the video?
Each frame is extracted and re-encoded in real time, so a 30-second clip takes about 30 seconds. Shorter clips and the 15 fps “Fast” mode finish quicker.
Will quality drop?
Re-encoding involves a small quality cost versus the original, though at the high bitrate used here it is hard to spot. Your source file is never modified.
Which browsers work best?
Chrome and Edge are the most reliable, including for the reversed-audio option. Firefox works; Safari supports in-browser recording on recent versions. If your browser cannot record video, the page will say so instead of failing silently.
