Free Schema Markup Generator — Get Rich Results in Google

Structured data is how FAQ answers, star ratings, event dates, and business details show up directly in Google search results. Pick a schema type, fill in the fields, and copy valid JSON-LD code that is ready to paste into your page.

Build your schema

Choose a schema type. Fields marked with a red star are required by Google. The JSON-LD preview updates live as you type, and the validator flags anything missing before you copy the code.

Validation passed. This JSON-LD is complete and ready to paste.

The HTML snippet wraps the JSON-LD in a <script type="application/ld+json"> tag, so you can paste it straight into your page without extra editing.

    100% private

Your business details and content are converted to JSON-LD by JavaScript in this tab. Nothing you type is ever sent to a server.

    No signup

No account, no email, no limits. Generate schema markup for as many pages as you want.

    Free forever

All five schema types, the validator, and the copy and download tools are free with nothing locked behind a paywall.

How to use the Schema Markup Generator

    1. 1Pick the schema type

Choose the tab that matches your page: FAQ Page for question-and-answer content, Article for blog posts, Local Business for a storefront, Product for something you sell, or Event for something happening on a date.

    2. 2Fill in the fields

Type your content into the form. Red-star fields are required by Google — the validator will not let you copy incomplete markup.

    3. 3Check the live preview

The JSON-LD code updates as you type, with syntax highlighting so you can read exactly what Google will see. Fix any errors the validator lists.

    4. 4Copy and paste it in

Use “Copy ready-to-paste HTML snippet” and paste it into your page. In WordPress, add it with a Custom HTML block or your SEO plugin’s schema field, then publish and test the URL in Google’s Rich Results Test.

Why SEOs use this schema generator

    Five high-impact schema types

FAQ Page, Article, LocalBusiness, Product, and Event cover the markup behind most rich results: FAQ dropdowns, article carousels, local packs, product ratings, and event listings.

    Live syntax-highlighted preview

See the exact JSON-LD as it is built, color-coded by keys, strings, and numbers — no black box between your form and the code Google reads.

    Required-field validation

Every field Google actually requires is checked before you copy anything, so you never publish markup that is missing the one property that disqualifies the rich result.

    One-click snippet, zero editing

The HTML snippet option wraps your JSON-LD in the correct script tag, ready to drop into WordPress, Shopify, Wix, or any plain HTML page.

    American date and currency formats

Dates convert to ISO format for machines while showing MM/DD/YYYY for you, and prices default to USD — the conventions Google expects for US pages.

    Private by design

Your business name, address, prices, and content never leave your browser. The whole generator ships inside this page.

    Schema Markup Generator FAQs

What is schema markup, and what is JSON-LD?
Schema markup is a shared vocabulary (from schema.org) that tells search engines what your content means — that a string of text is a product price, an event date, or a business address. JSON-LD is Google’s preferred format for it: a small block of code you add to your page that humans never see but Google reads.
Does adding schema guarantee rich results in Google?
No — but it makes you eligible. Google decides which pages earn rich results based on relevance, quality, and whether the markup is valid and matches the visible page content. Valid markup is the required first step; this tool makes sure that step is correct.
Where do I paste the code on my site?
Anywhere in the page’s HTML works, but the head section is conventional. In WordPress, add a Custom HTML block and paste the full snippet, or use your SEO plugin’s schema field. In Shopify or Wix, paste it into the page’s custom code or HTML section.
Why is the validator blocking my copy button?
At least one field Google requires is empty — the error list names each one. Fill those in and the button unlocks. Optional fields can stay blank; they simply get left out of the markup.
Which schema type should I use?
Match the page, not the business: a blog post gets Article, a storefront’s contact page gets LocalBusiness, a product page gets Product, a dated gathering gets Event, and a page of questions gets FAQ Page. You can use more than one type on the same page — generate each separately and paste both blocks.
How do I test my markup after publishing?
Paste your published URL into Google’s Rich Results Test (search for it by name — it’s free). It shows which rich results your page is eligible for and flags any errors to fix.
Is anything I type sent to a server?
No. The form, the JSON builder, and the validator all run in JavaScript inside your browser tab. Your business details and content never leave your device.
