Why use this collage maker

Photos never leave your device

Most free collage sites upload your pictures to their servers. This one composites everything locally — family photos stay family photos.

9 flexible layouts

From a simple side-by-side to a 3×3 grid, with spotlight and mosaic options in between. Layouts with fewer cells than photos cycle through your set.

Smart cover-fit cropping

Portrait shots, panoramas, and squares all fill their cells edge to edge — no stretched faces, no letterbox bars, no manual cropping.

Per-cell photo swap

Changed your mind about one picture? Tap its cell and replace just that photo without rebuilding the whole collage.

High-resolution export

Export at 1080, 1600, or 2048 pixels square as a PNG — sharp enough for social posts and small prints alike.

Made for phones too

Big tap targets, a touch-friendly layout picker, and multi-select from your camera roll make this genuinely usable on iPhone and Android.

Photo collage maker FAQs

How many photos can I put in one collage?
Between 2 and 9. If a layout has more cells than photos, your photos repeat to fill it; if you upload more photos than the layout has cells, the extras wait in your photo tray until you switch layouts.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. The collage is drawn on an HTML canvas entirely inside your browser tab. No server ever receives your images, which also means it works on slow connections once the page loads.
What happens with mixed portrait and landscape photos?
Each cell uses “cover” fitting: the photo is scaled until it completely fills the cell, then centered, so edges get cropped instead of the image being squished. Faces and subjects stay in natural proportion.
What size is the downloaded image?
You choose: 1080 x 1080, 1600 x 1600, or 2048 x 2048 pixels, saved as a PNG. The preview on screen is a smaller version — the download is always rendered fresh at full resolution.
Can I replace just one photo in the collage?
Yes — tap (or click) any cell in the preview and pick a replacement image. Only that cell changes; the rest of your collage stays exactly as it was.
Is there a watermark on the free download?
No watermark, ever. What you see in the preview is exactly what downloads.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. The upload button opens your camera roll with multi-select, the layout picker and sliders are touch-friendly, and the PNG saves straight to your photos.
