100% private

Your video is processed locally in your browser. It is never uploaded to any server.

No signup

No account, no email, no trial. Open the page and change your video speed right away.

Free forever

Unlimited speed changes with zero watermarks — unlike tools that stamp their logo on exports.

How to use the video speed changer

  1. 1Upload your video

Drag and drop an MP4, WebM, or MOV file onto the upload box, or click it to browse your files. Large phone videos work fine.

  2. 2Pick a speed

Tap a preset (0.25x for slow motion, 2x–4x for timelapse-style fast forward) or drag the custom slider. The preview plays at the new speed immediately.

  3. 3Export your video

Hit Export video and the tool re-renders every frame at the new speed in real time, with your audio in sync. A 60-second clip at 2x exports in about 30 seconds.

  4. 4Download and share

Save the finished file and post it anywhere — Reels, TikTok, YouTube. The new speed is baked in, so it plays correctly on every device.

Why use this speed changer

Any speed from 0.25x to 4x

Go from dramatic quarter-speed slow motion to 4x hyperlapse with presets plus a fine-tuned custom slider.

True live preview

The preview plays at your exact chosen speed with audio, so there are no surprises in the export.

Audio stays in sync

Your original sound is re-rendered along with the video. Pitch shifts naturally, just like fast-forwarding a tape.

No watermark, ever

Exports are clean. Paid tools charge a subscription to remove their logo — here it was never added.

Private by design

Everything runs on your device with browser APIs. Close the tab and your video is gone from memory.

Works on phones too

Change video speed on iPhone, Android, or desktop — no app install, no storage-hungry editor needed.

Frequently asked questions

Will the audio sound weird at 2x or 0.5x?
The pitch shifts the way it does when you fast-forward or slow down a tape — higher at fast speeds, lower at slow speeds. That is how every major editor handles it, and it keeps the audio perfectly in sync with the picture. If you want, uncheck “Keep original audio” for a silent export.
What format is the exported video?
Chrome and Edge export MP4; Firefox exports WebM. Both play everywhere modern — YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and all phones accept them.
Does this work on iPhone?
Yes. Upload a clip from your camera roll in Safari or Chrome on iOS, pick a speed, and export. For very large files, a desktop browser with more memory works faster.
Is there a file size limit?
There is no artificial limit — the ceiling is your device’s memory. Clips under about 500 MB export smoothly on most phones and laptops; hour-long 4K files may struggle on older devices.
Will slow motion look smooth or choppy?
At 0.5x each frame is shown twice as long, so footage shot at 60 fps looks silky. Regular 30 fps footage still looks good for short slow-mo moments. For extreme slow motion, film at a high frame rate (120 fps or 240 fps) on your phone first.
Is my video uploaded to your servers?
No. The file never leaves your device — all processing happens locally in your browser tab using standard web video APIs.
How is this different from just changing playback speed?
Preview playback is temporary and only affects your player. Exporting bakes the new speed into a brand-new video file, so it plays at that speed for everyone, everywhere.
